The Mission

Australia's pharmacy automation manufacturing.

We're on a mission to lead pharmacy automation manufacturing in Australia, investing substantially in advanced manufacturing equipment to grow local capability and build our machines here. The response so far has been encouraging: we've had interest from pharmacies and healthcare providers since our first public demo.

Our roadmap expands the pharmacy automation ecosystem and progresses naturally into inventory management, aimed at reducing waste, improving stock visibility, and streamlining operations.

  1. 2025

    Insera Labs founded in Sydney

    Four friends since 2014, one workshop, and a deblistering problem worth solving.

  2. Late 2025

    Accepted into the Macquarie University MQ Incubator

    Joined the MQ Incubator startup cohort: mentors, industry connections, and a runway to build.

  3. Q1 2026

    Working prototype, demonstrated live

    Shown running to a national distributor of pharmacy automation, the people who know exactly the problem it solves.

  4. Jun 2026

    Macquarie University Incubator Demo Day

    First public demo. Strong interest from pharmacies and healthcare providers.

  5. Jul 2026

    Accepted into Antler's AUS16 residency

    Ten weeks with a global early-stage investor: mentors, operators, and the founders building alongside us.

  6. Jul 2026

    UNSW Founders Pitch Night South West

    We pitch the future of pharmacy automation at the Bryan Brown Theatre, Bankstown, in the South West Sydney community we're building for.

  7. Q3 2026

    First pilot begins, patent pending

    Our first supervised pilot begins, the first of five planned pilot sites, with a provisional patent filed on the core systems.

  8. 2027

    Commercial launch: AU first

    The Automated Deblistering Machine is planned to go on sale across Australia, with automated checking next in line.

A Macquarie University Incubator startup.

Insera Labs is part of the Macquarie University MQ Incubator startup cohort, the program that connected us to mentors, industry partners, and the Demo Day stage where the Automated Deblistering Machine first ran in public.

Deblistering today is either done by hand, which is slow and hard on the hands, or on machines that have to be manually calibrated for each pack format, which can consume hours a week across dozens of medications. Our machine reads each pack and calibrates itself, cutting that setup from minutes per format to seconds.
